It's May already?! Geez! I just finally posted a blog entry from before Christmas 2009... Where does the time go?



I have been really busy hooking some new designs, attending retreats, visiting family and friends, and traveling around the globe with Casey Ü



I will be uploading some new photos of places I've been, folks I've been spending time with, and what I've been up to Ü I have a ton of catching up to do!



The first photo is of a new rug that I started right after Thanksgiving. It's the first hooked rug that I have designed and I ended up making two of them. I call it "Secret Garden" and I designed it in honor of my mother-in-law, Jackie. She was a beautiful woman and we miss her dearly.

Back in late fall 2009, I had spent the day with Alice Strebel from Kindred Spirits Ü

and I tell you what -- I had the best time!!! It was just the two of us and we chatted, giggled, had the sweetest picnic in her backyard, and hooked the rest of the afternoon. It felt like home. Thank you Alice for spending the whole day with me. I know how busy you are.

I was trying to get my Christmas gifts finished up. I almost made it Ü I had two that were late. Making gifts for my family is a true "love" chore! I love thinking about the person receiving the gift I am making and hoping the sentiment won't be lost...

I hope everyone had the most blessed Christmas season.
